all U.S.-México border states. The NIHHIS RGB pilot is focused
on the region encompassing El Paso County (Texas), Doña Ana
County (New Mexico), and Ciudad Juárez (Chihuahua) (Figure
3). This region is home to an estimated 2.4 million people, most
of whom live in or near the principal cities of El Paso (TX), Las
Cruces (NM), and Ciudad Juárez (Borderplex Alliance

NIHHIS RGB Pilot
In July 2016, the NIHHIS RGB Pilot initiative was launched in
the region with a workshop in El Paso, that brought together
individuals in government, academia, and practitioners, from
México and the U.S., that work in the areas of public health,
