La cuenca del río Conchos:
una mirada desde las ciencias ante el cambio climático
emergency management, weather and climate, sustainability, and
urban planning. Through a combination of presentations by local
and international experts (Figure 4), and discussion in focused
groups, participants addressed the following goals:
• Gain a better understanding of historical climatology
and vulnerabilities to heat in the region, including
identification of particularly vulnerable populations,
and indicators to improve preparedness for future heat
episodes.
• Identify and document science, communication, and
public health needs and gaps, related to extreme heat
monitoring and public health preparedness in the
region.
• Establish specific information requirements and other
needs for developing information products, plans,
requirements, and processes identified during the
workshop.
